RoboLiga is a brand new robotics competition conceptualized by ThinkLABS. RoboLiga is going to be India's biggest robotics and embedded systems competition.

At Stake

  • Internship opportunities at leading organizations
  • Training Vouchers and robotic kits worth INR 9 lacs
  • Cash Prizes worth INR 2 lacs

About Roboliga'10

Image Alt TextRoboLiga in its very first edition is going to be huge and grand covering over 600 engineering colleges across India. It is expected to attract more than 2000 participants from different parts of the country.
RoboLiga'10 is a 2-tier event. The competition has 15 regional rounds and one finals in Mumbai. The regional rounds would take place at different locations including NIT's and other prominent engineering colleges. The locations are chosen evenly such that students from different locale can participate with ease.
The top 3 teams from each regional round would qualify for the Finals in Mumbai.
To groom the students with the basics of robotics and embedded systems ThinkLABS plans to conduct 100 workshops across the country. The workshops not only will give them an edge over solving the problem statements but also help them realize the importance of robotics and embedded systems in present industrial world.

Regional Level Problem Statement

Objective: The goal of the line maze is for a robot to traverse from the start point to the end circle in the shortest amount of time. Each robot will be given 10 minutes in which they can start the attempt maximum 3 times and the best time of a single run is used to determine the results. Robots that can learn the maze on one run, and use that information to create an optimized path for additional runs, will achieve better times rather than robots running random searches each run.

ROBOCON INDIA :   http://www.roboconindia.com/

This is one of the biggest robotics event held in India and Asia Pacific. Teams from all over Asia Pacific compete in Robocon and display their skills in the field of robotics.

One of the largest technical event of India. It is organised by IIT Bombay every year, somewhere in the month of January. This event has the maximum number of student participation.

This is a technical event organised by NITK surathkal. 'Automata', one of the most famous event in India, is held at Engineer.

Quark is organised by BITS-Pilani, Goa Campus. It is one of the biggest technical event that happens in Goa. Many robotics related competitions are organised here.

This technical event is organised by NIT Trichy.

TECHNOSANGRAM :

TechnoSangram is a technical event of ETC dept, Goa Engineering College, Farmagudi. This is a very huge event. Many robotics related competitions organised here. Also students can take part in Project Presentation where they can display their skills in the field of robotics.

Apart from these, many other robotics related competitions are held in India. The Robotics Club team will keep you guyz updated with different technical events happening in India.

Online Resources :

There are many online robotics communities which budding engineers and robotics enthusiasts can join for free. These communities provide loads of information and also regarding the latest trends in the field of robotics. They also provide information about availability of different robotics components and kits.

1st Robotics Club Meeting...!!!

The 1st Robotics Club meeting was held on September 4th, 2009. The meeting was met with a very good response of robotics enthusiasts. The meeting was also attended by our senior faculty members, who guided us with their precious ideas.

One of our senior Mr. Vencatesh S. also demonstrated a new software called 'Proteus'. This is a very useful software as far an engineer is considered.

Finally the meeting concluded with the members discussing about the action plan of the robotics club for this term.
